Special acts of worship on the night of Mi’raaj

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. Are there any specific merits of worship on the night of Mi’raaj? What should be done on this night?

A. There is no specific date recorded stating that there is special merit in doing special acts of worship specifically on the night of Mi’raaj. Had there been any special merit, then surely the companions of the Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam would have preserved it. They preserved every aspect of the life of our beloved Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and surely, they would not have left out any special practice or worship that was to be done on the night of Mi’raaj. However, any form of ibadaat (worship) may be performed on the night of Mi’raaj like other nights such as salah, reading the Quran, dhikr, etc. without the belief that it has more merit on this night.
