Is It Shirk to Wonder About Allah’s Presence and Knowing Him?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I sometimes think how Allah Ta’ala will be and where he is. Is thinking about Allah in this way shirk? I am not talking about His origin but I am talking about his presence and knowing Him.

Bismillaah

A: It is the belief of the Ahlus Sunnah wal jamaa’ah that Allah Ta’ala is alone in His being and attributes. All the attributes of Allah Ta’ala are infinite, absolute and perfect, and Allah Ta’ala is free from all limitations and weaknesses. When there is nothing equal to Him and like Him then why should you put your mind into things that are beyond your imagination and understanding.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
