Sharing Inheritance Among Siblings: 2 Brothers, 3 Sisters

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: How do we distribute shares between 2 brothers and 3 sisters?

Bismillaah

A: If the deceased left behind just 2 sons and 3 daughters and no other heirs then the estate will be divided into 7 equal shares and distributed as follows:

Each son will receive 2 shares

Each daughter will receive 1 share

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
