Translation of a Hadith on eating with one’s servant

Can you please translate the following narration:

إذا أتى أحدكم خادمه بطعامه فإن لم يجلسه معه فليناوله أكلة أو أكلتين أو لقمة أو لقمتين فإنه ولي حره وعلاجه

Answer

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“When your servant brings your meal to any one of you, then if you do not make him sit with you, then you should at least give him a morsel or two or a bite or two as he is the one who [prepared it].

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 2557, 5460 and Sahih Muslim, with variation in the wording, Hadith: 1663)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
