Is this Hadith reliable?
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Poetry has the same status as prose, good poetry is like good speech and bad poetry is like bad speech/conversation”
Answer
This Hadith has been recorded with several chains. In addition to these chains supporting each other, ‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) has declared the chain in Tabarani as sound (hasan).
The Hadith is suitable to quote.
