Question:

Assalamu alikum. Whilst chatting with my wife. Some sort of liquid comes from my penis. It is very clear not whitish as semen and comes out without ejaculation. If I go to toilet and wash it and wash my under wears. Still I feel it is coming out. So has to wait in toilet still it is completely cleaned sometimes after ghusl I was in my underwear and while wearing next time .I see a round spot or darkened. I fear it might because I didn’t wash properly. What I have to do in that case. I squeeze it three times in water still it doesn’t disappear.

Is it ok to put the wet clothes in washing machine or it has to be compulsory hand washed.? What about the bed. if it is blanket can put in washing machine. Sometimes bed has spots. Is it ok to sleep on it or how to remove those spots

Answer:

Bismillah

Mani (sperm) is a white thick fluid, which is discharged at the time of ejaculation. This necessitates a fardh ghusul on its emission. Madhi is a thin clear liquid, which is discharged at the time of arousal without ejaculation. This necessitates wudhu on its emission. Wadhi is a white thick fluid, which has no smell and is discharged either before or after urinating. This necessitates wudhu on its emission. (Maraqi Falah p.150)

It will be necessary that whenever madhi exits a person, he must wash his body part and also his clothing upon which it has reached.

Sayyidna Ali raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) narrates that i used to get pre-seminal discharge frequently. Being the son in law of the prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) i requested a man to ask him. So the man asked the prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) about it. He said perform ablution after washing your organ. (Sahih Bukhari p42 v1)

Madhi is regarded as a impurity, therefore if it was to fall on ones clothing, bedding etc then it is is necessary that it be washed.

With regards to using washing machines, as the process of washing clothes in the washing machine involves several washes and rinses, impure clothes, blankets can therefore be washed via the washing machine. The clothes will become clean as long as no visible impurity is still present after the wash.

A person may sleep on dry semen; although it is better that a person sleeps where it is clean. However if any substance/particles of the semen can be seen on the clothes or body then they will become unclean and impure. (Durrul Mukhtar, Vol 1, P254)
