Maghrib Time Entering and Asr

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by CouncilofUlama.co.za

Q: If a person starts Salatul Asr before the time of magrib but his salah overruns into the time of magrib will his Asr prayer be valid?

Example, first 2 rakats in the time of Asar and remaining 2 in the time of magrib.

A: Yes if the asr was started before the sun disappeared completely from the horizon and was completed after it disappeared it will be done, albeit in an incomplete manner.
