If one were walking for example and happens to make the zikr of Allah without the state of whudu. Is that permissable?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I would like to know if we could recite any dua’s without the state of whudu? I often go fishing and make the zikr of Allah whilst not beening in the state of whudu. I will like to know if Right.

Answer

It is permissible to make Dhikr or Du’aa in the state of Hadath-e-Asghar (a
term used for a person who has no Wudhu) and in the state of Hadath-e-Akbar
(a term used for a person in need of a bath)

One should try to be in the state of Dhikr at all times as there are many
virtues narrated for Dhikr.
