Asalaamu alaykium I wanted to know is the nikkah valid with a person who follows the farrakhanism /they say they are Muslim buh do everything different and they believe we don’t have to wash after going to the toilet and they can eat from anywhere halal or not they don’t mind

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, nikah is only valid with fellow Muslims and people of the book i.e., the Jews and the Christians.

The nation of Islam began as one sect but later fractured into multiple different sects, each with a different set of beliefs. Many of their beliefs are in direct conflict with the accepted tenets of faith. Islam is based on certain articles of faith without which, one cannot be classified as a true Muslim.

It should be noted that each set of beliefs need to be analysed before a ruling can be given.

The following is an excerpt from the nation of Islam website under Louis Farrakhan.[1]

  1. WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited “Messiah” of the Christians and the “Mahdi” of the Muslims.

The above belief is contrary to the basic tenets of Islam. Almighty Allah did not and does not manifest His being in any of His creation. Accordingly, it is not permissible to marry an individual who ascribes to the above belief.
