The reason for Sayyidah Fatimah (radiyallahu’anha) being the ‘Queen of the women of Jannah’

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Is there any reason mentioned in the Hadith which gives the reason for Fatimah Radiyallahu Anha being the queen of Jannah?

Answer

This is obviously because of her lofty rank and merits. Her greatest merit is understood from the Hadith in which Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasalam) said:

‘Fatimah is a part of me.’

(Sahih Bukhari, hadith: 3767)

Although the other children of Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) are also a part of him, Sayyidah Fatimah was specifically mentioned to indicate a higher rank.

Furthermore, one narration gives the impression that she attained this rank of being the Queen of the women of Jannah due to her patience (sabr) over the demise of her beloved Father (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam).

(See Fathul Bari, before hadith: 3767 & Faydul Qadir, hadith: 5835)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
