Q: If I have a Kruger Rand coin (gold coin), and I am a women who does not work, do I have to pay zakaat on it?
A: If the Kruger Rand and other Zakaatable assets (if you have, e.g. gold and silver jewelery, cash) put together add up to the amount on which Zakaat becomes compulsory, then Zakaat will be given.
