What is Miraj in Salaat ? how to achieve it

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
What is meant by Mi’raj in salaat? How does one achieve this? If I commit a sin and I never return to it, will that sin be cleared from my account despite however great it is?
If a person repents after committing sins no matter how big the sin maybe if the repentance were done sincerely then the sin would be forgiven. The prayer is the miraj of a believer. What that means is, it is a vehicle by which a person reaches closeness to Allah s.w. Essentially, he is in the court of Almighty and he is communicating with him. The proximity would be in proportion to the amount of sincerity and humility one displays.
