Do we have bayt formally to derive benefits from any Shaikh?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

I listen to your bayaan, lectures and read your website and I am always very effected and derive benefit from your talks. Do I need to do Bayt with you formally or is it enough that I am deriving benefit from your spiritual being. I have very shy temperament and I want to remain away from public.

With regards to the personal issues of life you need to consult with someone, despite the fact that you attend different programs you need to give your pledge of allegiance to someone. It is not necessary that you do it with me you can do it with who ever you choose or feel like is compatible with you.
