Asalaamu Alaikum brother/sister.
I would like to ask if working for a Bank is permitted in Islam or not.
I am aware that the business of a Bank involves interest and that they charge interest to customers through various products, and I am also aware that interest is haram in Islam. But I would like to know if working for the Bank is also haram as many job roles involves discussing with customers charges and interests on products they have, and some roles involve opening accounts for customers such as savings, credit cards and mortgages and these are all interest related.
I would appreciate if you could kindly respond if there is any knowledge in this area.

A bank job is not permissible if it involves interest or aids in interest-bearing activities such as taking or giving interest, writing interest matters, or bearing witness, etc., and its income is also illegitimate.
But if there is no involvement or assistance in interest-based activities, as of a cashier, whose job is only to accept a check from customer and give cash money against that check, or the job of a driver or peon. Those kinds of jobs are valid, and the income will be legitimate.
