Assalamualaikum,

  1. What are the meanings of these names? Atika (عاتكه), Moheena, Nyla (نائله). Are these Islamic names?
  2. What is the reason for each forbidden time of Salah?

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق

The meaning of A’atikah is “a woman who uses perfume abundantly”, this is also the name of a Sahabiyah. The meaning of Nailah is “one who yields and finds”, this is the name of the pure wife of Hazrat Uthman R.A. I could not find the meaning of Muhinah.

The prohibition of praying Salat at sunrise, sun at the center, and sunset is due to the reason that Non-Muslim nations worship the sun at these times. To stay away from the resemblance of these nations, praying Salat at these timings has been declared prohibited.
