Maximum amount of shares for qurbaani in a cow

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My question is that to whom we should perform qurbani in the case of a cow and how many shares. Is it necessary to take everyone’s name?

Bismillaah

A: A cow has a maximum of seven shares and if the one slaughtering is appointed by the shareholders to slaughter on their behalf then it will be valid.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
