Using soap in the state of ihraam

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My question is about the use of soap during ihram. While traveling from Madina to Makkah in the state of ihram, I washed my hands in the toilet using liquid soap that was put there. I came to know that it’s not permissible to use it while in ihram. Is it so? If there is anything wrong then what has to be done for this? Will it attract some kind of penalty?

Bismillaah

A: If the soap had undergone a boiling process then there is no dum.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
