Faking An Orgasm

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Mahmoodiyah

Question:

Salaam Alaikum,

I would please like an answer to this personal matter that has been bothering me. I recently got married to a good Muslim Alhamdulillah and we love each other very much and hope to live our lives according to the dictates of Islam and the Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Is it Haraam to fake an orgasm while making love? My husband feels that if I don’t have an orgasm then I have not been fulfilled and feels bad. This is not the case however as I am quite satisfied when we make love and have never had a visible orgasm. I fake it just to make him happy and he is always happy when he sees that.
Is it wrong? Am I deceiving him? I want my husband to be happy and I am probably not capable of having an orgasm but it doesn’t bother me because he satisfies me in every way when we make love.
I hope by asking this question I have no violated the privacy of our sex lives as espoused by the Prophet. But I am worried because I don’t want to sin while trying to please him.

Ma’assalaam

Answer:

If you are satisfied with your husband while making love, then it is alright to fake an orgasm and you will not be deceiving him.  If perchance you are not satisfied by your husband in this manner, you must inform him and help him.
