Q. Can Zakaat money be used in the building of houses for the poor?
A. Yes.
Q. What is the Shar’i way of giving this type of house to the poor?
A. The building of the house must be completed. Thereafter the key of the house will be given to the person deserving of Zakaat, for him to become the owner of that house.
