Is there a Hadith like this?

اول الدين معرفة الله

 

Answer

Whilst the recognition of Allah, is indeed an integral part of one’s Din, I have not come across the above statement in a Hadith.

A similar narration is cited as the statement of Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) in Nahjul Balagah which is an unreliable source. See here
