Do not look at who is saying, rather look at what is being said

Is the following a Hadith?

“Do not look at who is saying, rather look at what is being said”

Answer

Mulla ‘Ali Al Qari (rahimahullah) states that these are the statements of Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu). Therefore it should be quoted as such and not as a Hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

(Al Masnu’ Fi Ma’rifatil Hadithil Mawdu’, Hadith: 397)

And Allah Ta’ala  Knows best.
