When Allah intends good for a certain household he inserts kindness among them

Is it true that when Allah intends good for the people of a household, He introduces kindness among them?

Answer

Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) and others have recorded the following narration:

Sayyidatuna ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“When Allah intends good for the people of a household, he inserts kindness among them”

(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 6 pg. 71 and vol. 6 pg. 105 -with slight variation in the wording-)

‘Allamah ‘Iraqi (rahimahullah) has declared the chain of narrators as good (jayyid).

(Al Mughni ‘An Hamlil Asfar, Hadith: 3154. Also see Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 8 pg. 19)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
