Assalaamualaikum,Suppose my menses/periods 7days are completed and I only take a normal bath from head to toe and donot perform Ghusl to become paak and wear fresh clothes [I mean I will wear other clothes and not the same clothes which I wore during my periods].Will this clothes become impure.Do I need to wash and purify them OR after I perform ghusl can I wear them without purifying, and pray in the same clothes without purifying/washing them ?

Mu’adhah said: “I asked ‘Aishah raḍyAllāhu 'anha (may Allāh be pleased with her) about the menstruating woman whose garment was touched by blood. She said: ‘She should wash it, then if its traces are still left, let her change it (the spot) with (something) yellowish in colour. And I have had mymenstruation during the time of the Messenger of Allah three times without washing my garment.”[1]

Asma’ daughter of Abu Bakr said: I heard a woman asking the Messenger of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him): What should any of us do with her cloth (in which she menstruated) when she becomes purified? Can she pray in that (cloth)?

He said: She should see; if she finds blood in it, she should scratch it with some water and sprinkle upon it (some water) and pray so long as she does not find (any blood).[2]

From the above Ahadith and others we can conclude that it will only be necessary to purify the clothing after the monthly menses when it is stained with blood or any other impurities.

If there is no trace of blood found on the clothing it will not be necessary to wash and purify the clothing and salah will also be permissible in them.[3]
