Can Muslim women trim hair for aesthetics without resembling men/non-Muslims?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My question here is that is it allowed to a woman to cut her hair a little bit from the bottom of the length, so as to provide strength to the hair and bring the hair in one level to increase its beauty? It has nothing to do with the resemblance with men or any kafir woman. It is just for the safety of hair. One more thing I want to know is, can I have the exact hadith which is generally quoted in this regard. The meaning of the quoted hadith is something like follows:
“It is generally said that if a woman runs scissor on her hair, she will never smell the fragrance of Jannah.”

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 615/579/N=1434)

(1) In order to increase the growth of the hair etc it is lawful to cut the end of the hair. It is mentioned in Muslim Shareef:
كان أزواج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يأخذن من رؤسهن حتى تكن كالوفرة.
Also Imam Nawavi (رحمة الله عليه) has said in the commentary of this hadith:
فيه دليل على جواز تخفيف الشعور للنساء.
(2) We do not know any such tradition.

Allah knows Best!
