Q: I promised my wife I would not look at pornography online anymore, but then I started to look at womens’ pictures online. Do I need to expiate for this? Am I allowed to touch my wife before I expiate?
A:If you took an oath then you have to pay kaffaara for breaking the oath. If you only promised without taking an oath then you donot have to pay kaffaara but should make istighfaar for breaking the promise and for doing sin. Both scenarios does not make your wife forbidden.
