Q: How much wealth does a person need to have in order for Hajj to be compulsory?

A: A person needs to have sufficient wealth which will cover his transport, accommodation and food expenses during the journey of Hajj (i.e. from the time he leaves till he returns) in order for Hajj to be compulsory. (Durrul Mukhtaar 2:465/455)
