Q: I joined the fard of Zuhr without performing the four Sunnatul Muakadah before. After the Fard must I first perform the 4 sunnatul muakadah and then balance of the sunnan or vice versa?

A: The fatwaa is on both therefore a person can perform the four rakaats first or he can perform it after the two sunnats. However Ahsanul Fataawaa has given preference to performing the four after the two rakaats. (Vol 3 page 484-485)
