Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I participate in tableegh, some of my freinds has put me this question.

1.Maulana ashraf ali thanvi’s grave was desecreted, they say that this is proof of  azaab of allah to ashraf ali thanvi (astaqfirullah)

In addition to this i want your help to overcome my below mentioned problems .

1. Al hamdullilah i have stopped listening to music & all other bad activities i used to do before.now i am participating in tableegh, & i have started following many of allah’s commands, but some times my imaan go’s high & some times its very low, so weak that i don’t have stong faith in hadees or any other islamic matters(astaqfirullah) shaitan keeps on diverting my mind to other religions. Because of this i lost my peace, concentration, etc. When i read hadees my faith doesn’t increase. i am showing very casual approach to deen. This has happenned after i have abstained from all  bad activities. is this because of my sins? How to overcome this shaitaane wasa vis. Please help me. I fear about my life after death. I want to die with kamil imaan.

Thanks for your early reply.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

A person’s grave been desecrated or honoured is not a sign to show whether the person is been punished or not. Many non-Muslims graves are honoured. This in no way means that they are in a good condition. Similarly, a person’s grave been desecrated does not mean that he is being punished.

Your concern regarding your Iman is a sign of good Iman. Thieves target places where treasures are stored. Similarly, the devil targets that hearth which has good faith in Allah Ta’ala. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رضي الله تعالى عنهnarrates that some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah came to him and complained of getting such evil thoughts that they could not even mention it. Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: this is a clear sign of Iman. (Muslim 79 Qadeemi)

You should not pay much attention to such a condition. Rather, continue to obey Allah Ta’ala and stay away from His disobedience. This is a trick of shaytan to make feel down, and that you are not gaining anything thereby making you go back to your old ways and habits. Insha Allah by continuing with righteous deeds and staying away from evil Allah Ta’ala will grant you His love and recognition and let you taste the sweetness of Iman.

Try to supplicate unto Allah Ta’ala excessively. Ask Allah Ta’ala to help you preserve your Iman and grant you complete Iman. Also, try to recite as much as Quran as possible. Keep in contact with a local Alim with whom you can relate with.

And Allah knows best

Wassalaamu `alaykum
