By nature I found her a good person, allahualim! 1.after the marriage should they be allowed to go to church and celebrate Christmass? 2. how about her dress habits, being a European, its not easy for her to change ? Please advice. 3. I am basically coming from south India, city of Hyderabad and as usual my parents doesn´t my idea of marrying a Christian girl.

Answer

Maashaa Allah that you are positively weighing pros and cons before blindly diving into the deep seas and then struggling to survive.

First, weigh your pros and cons. Some possible options to consider:

1. What if you start developing a stronger bond with your Creator and become closer to Allah Ta’ala, hence, if her dressing doesn’t change and her ideal and morals differ from yours, perhaps this may lead to marital discord and restlessness.

2. Consider a major factor, where through many notable situations, many a marriage have suffered because of clash in upbringing of children. Even though parents adopt a broadminded attitude of allowing the child the choice of religion / way of life of a child will follow ? led to turbulent crossroads at this junction have ? leading once again to nasty marital discords.

3. Choice of partner in marriage should first be focus on her religious Deeni outlook.

4. Perform your Istikhaara Salaat requesting guidance from our Creator for He Alone knows our future.

5. Thereafter, write down your pros and cons to this marriage and ? visibly in front of you (not in mind’s eye) will sharpen your focus and choice.

Perhaps, at this stage you may decide on your option. If you are still in a dilemma at this stage, you may forward us your query with your pros and cons, options, feelings and Istikhaara.

May Allah Ta’ala guide you and grant you a good choice who will eb good for your Deen and with whom you will enjoy unfold happiness.

and Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
