Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

I foolishly uttered with my tongue words of kufr similar to those of fir’aun but did not believe in it and I uttered sentences claiming myself to be a creator and I hate myself for it and refuse to leave Islam is there a way out because I do not believe in them?

Answer:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

The statements in question do not necessarily make someone a disbeliever[1] as they have been uttered in heedlessness, however one should uphold extreme precaution in making sure that these kinds of statements are not proclaimed, and if thoughts similar to these do come in the mind, to repel those thoughts by seeking refuge in Allah by reciting the last two Surahs of the Quran or just simply reciting ‘Ta’awwuz.’

Additionally, you should make tawbah before Allah and make dua towards Him.
