i am a converted muslim and after getting converted i tried to learn arabic but i failed as its really tough. so, i read quran in english transliteration. Is it alright to read the transliteration one and will i get sawab of reading quran as i am reading it everyday.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Your question is not clear. You state that you tried to learn Arabic and found it to be tough, therefore you read the transliteration of the Qur-an.

What do you mean by learning Arabic? Is it the Arabic language that consists of grammar and speech or is it merely learning the alphabets and reading Arabic. In order to read the Qur-an, you do not have to know Arabic as language. It is not difficult to learn to merely read the Qur-an.

The transliteration will not be equivalent to reading the actual Qur-an. We advise you to have the courage and identify a person to teach you the basics of reading the Qur-an. There are many people who would be ready to assist you in that. The transliteration may be used as a support to pronounce the Arabic words correctly.

مصحف عثمانی کے رسم خط کی رعایت ومتابعت لازم وضروری ہے اور اس کے خلاف لکھنا اگرچہ وہ عربی رسم خط کیوں نہ ہو نا جائز وحرام ہے اور اس مسئلہ پر ائمہ اربع کا اتفاق ہے بلکہ علمائ امت میں کسی کا اختلاف نہیں تو یہ اجماع مسئلہ ہے۔
