Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Can u please give indetail the meaning of “Pure man are pure women and vice versa”.

my point is if i consider myself a sinner does it mean i get a man who is sinner too?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The Quranic verse you are addressing is mentioned below:

{الْخَبِيثَاتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَالْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَاتِ} [النور: 26]

“Vile women will be for vile men and vile men will be for vile women”

A point of consideration is that Allah has made a connection and suitability between people of the same nature. Thus, a woman or man of wrong belief (aqidah), unmoral character (akhlaq) and hideous acts (amal) will be inclined to a person of the same nature. Therefore, one will try to find his/her spouse according to his/her inclination and liking in a way that suits him or her[1].

Accordingly, this does not refer to one who has correct beliefs and remains chaste and implements only pure actions. It is important to know that everyone can sin except the prophets. This is why it is important that when one sins, one should hasten in asking forgiveness from Allah. Such a person will not be included in this verse.
