Is it permissible to dig our graves before our death?

I would like to know since one of my friends asked me whether it is permissible to dig a grave (khabar) for ourselves before we die. and fill it with salt as many people do in India. Please let me know whether it is permissible in Islam or not.

If someone prepare their own grave before they die, there’s nothing wrong with that.
