Sufism –  Prescrible some methods of tasawwuf for ummah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
People have stopped going to khankah and many don’t have the knowledge of tasawwuf, please prescribe some methods that this interest can be brought in ummah?
In the system of ‘khankah’ due to the Traditions and Customs people have become more distant, and that’s how things should be, people should stay away from Customs and traditions, which are not authentic. There is another way of staying away from such things that is ‘Tasawwuf’, which means to purify or improve one’s character, and to remove the evil qualities of our selves. This is just as much important on as as it is to pray five times a day or to fast.

This depends on whether or not a person has spiritual relationship with proper scholars, and whether or not the person learns the depth of this discipline. If a person fails to do this then he will not be able to practice religion in his life properly and his religion would be incomplete. See if something is incomplete it doesn’t look good, and it has to be cured. Similarly, if someone’s religion is not complete then he should seek a proper treatment.
