To wear half sleeves makruh ?

I was told that it is Makruh (detested) to wear half sleeves. Is it true? If so, kindly prove it.
In the books of the Islamic law, it is written that such a thing is undesirable. Clothing should be complete, because the clothing of the prophet peace be upon him used to be all the way to his ankles.
