Repeating the takbirs of prayer, and reciting the closing supplications

Asalamalaykum

I have two questions that i would like to ask. The first question is –

Does one have to say “allah hu akbar” after the imam evertime he says it in namaz or is it only said once at the begining of the namaz?

The second question is –

What is the dua read after the durood sharif whilst in namaz?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

[1] Reading the opening takbir (‘Allahu Akbar’) is necessary; every subsequent takbir is an emphasized sunna (but not obligatory). [Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]

[2] After the durood sharif (salat al-ibrahimiyya) and before the closing salams, one can recite any supplication from the Qur’an and Sunna, or any supplication (optimally in Arabic) in which one asks for next-worldly matters. Reciting a dua here is an emphasized sunna, so it should not be omitted. [Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]

And Allah alone gives success.
