Bone broth

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Regarding the use of bones of halaal animals. I am researching the use of bone broth and I need to know if is permissible? It is a soup type of dish which is jelly in form. After many hours of boiling and also a type of gelatin. If so, are all parts of the bones permissible for use, particularly bone marrow? (except the organs from which we are forbidden to use and eat). [Used for stomach lining healing].

Bismillaah

A: Our ulama have declared these types of products as haraam if the bone was from a haraam animal.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
