Is it permissible to watch recorded videos of female teachers, as part of an online course, during Islamic fasting?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria
M.I.T University, U.S.A provides many different courses online, some of which are taught by female teachers. I have finished my masters in chemistry, and I think these courses will be of benefit to me. Is it permissible as per Shari’ah to watch recorded videos of female teachers on my phone or laptop?

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

It is not permissible by any means to watch videos of Non-Mahram women, whether it is for educational purposes or entertainment. However, if one can benefit from only the audio of any such educational video without looking at the actual video recording, then it will be permissible to listen to her voice (i.e. that of the female teacher) to the extent needed.
