Is there a Quranic verse which states that we should not assist one another in sin?
Answer:
Yes. Allah Ta’ala mentions,
“Assist each other in good and Taqwa and do not assists each other in sin and transgression…”
(Surah Al Maidah, verse: 2)
The Mufassirun have explained ‘sin’ as Kufr [disbelief in Allah] as well as all forbidden acts and ‘transgression’ as transgression of Allah’s bounds or oppressing people.
