Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, the Imam has the right of giving the Iqamah. Thereafter, the Muadhin has the right of giving the Iqamah. [1]
If one is performing Salaah at home in a congregation, the Imaam may give the Iqamah before Salaah.
