How long is fajar-sunrise and zawal-sunset?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalamualaikum, I am in hyderabad, India. At my place the fajar prayer time end @ 6:01 Am and after that offering sajadah or Namaz is mukrooh until the sun rises completely. I would like to know ideally how long this time prevails (in minutes/hours) so that we can offer Qaza namaz again. I would also like to knwo similar time duration for zawal and sunset?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1659/1659/M=1430)

Wait fifteen-twenty minutes after the sun rises. Do not perform any Salah or Sajda during this period. When makrooh time is over, perform missed (Qadha) Salah. See the time of Zawal and sunset in the calendar or timetable of your area. The makrooh time of midday is very short even it is less than one minute. It is better not to offer Salah a few minutes before and after it out of precaution.
