(Fatwa: 997/1082=D-1429

It is traditionally proved from the salaf (the past Ulama) that “Raziallau Anhu” is written and spoken for the Sahaba, and “Rahmatullah Alaih” is written and spoken for non-Sahabah like Tabeen etc. Therefore, there seems no wrong to say “Rahmatullah Alaih” for Yazeed.
