Asalamulaikum, I need to know, can zakat given to Madrassas where poor people learn religious knowledge and poor relatives? Second thing is that I have a plot which I bought 2 years ago, I don’t live in it, I bought it for investment purpose? My question is that should I pay Zakat on this plot which is bought for investment purpose? Jazakallah Khair. Allah Hafiz

If the children are from outside and the madrasa manages their lodge and food, one can give zakah to the madrasa.
(2) Yes, you will have to pay Zakah of the plot.
