Question:
is it permissible for a woman to go into the masjid during her period cycle? And what if it’s because you are taking Alima classes inside the masjid at the time of her period?
Answer:
It is not permissible for woman to go into the Masjid during her period cycle, even if she has to attend her Aalimah classes. It is against the sanctity of the masjid to do so.
The Uztaadh should conduct the Aalimah classes outside the Masjid.

ولا تدخل المسجد ” وكذا الجنب لقوله عليه الصلاة والسلام ” فإني لا أحل المسجد لحائض ولا جنب “(الهداية/ج1/ص33)
جَسرةُ بنتُ دِجاجة، قالت: سمعتُ عائشةَ تقول جاءَ رسولُ الله – صلى الله عليه وسلم – ووُجُوهُ بُيوتِ أصحابِهِ شارِعَة في المَسجِدِ، فقال: “وَجِّهُوا هذه البُيوتَ عن المَسجِدِ” ثمَّ دخلَ النبيُّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم – ولم يَصنَع القَومُ شيئاً رجاءَ أن تَنزِلَ فيهم رُخصَةٌ،فخرجَ إليهم، فقال: “وَجَّهوا هذه البُيوتَ عن المسجِدِ، فإنِّي لا أُحِلُّ المسجِدَ لحائِضٍ ولا جُنُبٍ”.(سنن ابي داود/ج1/ص166/رقم232)
