Pertaining to inheritance

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I have a question pertaining to inheritance.

My father, mother and sister are all Marhoom. I have no other brothers or sisters and the only remaining family member I have is my late sisters daughter.

How do the rules of inheritance apply in my case? Does my niece or aunties and uncles inherit from me. I am unmarried as well.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In order for us to advise you, inform us if you have any paternal uncles or their male children (i.e. your male cousins) alive. If you have any other relatives, such as the paternal aunt, maternal aunt or their children, inform us in detail.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
