In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

The explanation in your query is not clear. According to our understanding, you have difficulty in waking up for fajr salaah. If our understanding is correct, We make duaa Allah Ta’ala grant you ability to overcome your difficulty and wake up for fajr salaah Ameen.

You state that you make niyyah (intention) to perform Fajr. However you should also make a concerted effort to wake up for fajr. If you have a flight early in the morning, you would wake up ahead of time and be at the airport timeously.

Hereunder are some steps you may take to wake up for fajr:

1) Sleep after Esha as early as you can to get a fulfilling sleep.

2) Set a loud alarm and keep it far away from you so that you have to get out of the bed to put off the alarm.

3) You could also request a friend/relative to phone you at fajr time.

4) Do not eat heavy meals before you sleep.

5) Remind yourself of the following Ahadeeth before sleeping:

Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the fajr and the ‘Isha’ prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to crawl. (Sahih Bukhari: 657)

The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: He who observed the morning prayer (in congregation), he is in fact under the protection of Allah and it never happens that Allah should make a demand in connection with the protection (that He guarantees) for when he asks for anything in relation to His protection, he definitely secures it. He then throws him flatly in the Hell-fire. (Sahih Muslim: 657)

It was mentioned by the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that there was a man who slept the night till morning (after sunrise). The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “He is a man in whose ears (or ear) Shaytan had urinated.” (Sahih Bukhari: 3270)
