Assalamoualaikoum
I live in canada and i have a bengali family friend . Every weekend they send us fish dish and they eat a fish called basa fish . I am not a fish eater but after this basa fish does not have no smell at all. Last week my daughter told me that basa fish is not halal. I want to confirm is it halal or not. I read online many other websites says it is not halal.
According to me it look like a fish and live in water. It doesn’t have scale as what I read . It says it is from the family of cat fish . here is the link of the fish that we get in canada . the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basa_fish . Can you please confirm it is halal or haram.
