Fishing Using Explosives
| Q.) Nowadays thousands of fish are caught by explosive fishing. An explosive is detonated under water that kills many fish and sea creatures. The fish rise to the surface (dead) and are collected by boat and packaged up for marketing nationally and internationally. Can we eat these fish and how will we know how our fish are caught? A.) Fish is halal even if they are caught by explosive measures. But if it is extremely painful for the fish this method may not be advisable.
