I do not know my zakat date, what should I do?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by AnswersToFatawa

Assalam Alaykum s

I heard I need to discharge my zakat according to the lunar calendar but I do not know the lunar nor the solar date of when I became eligible of paying zakat. What should I do, on which day should I discharge my zakat?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If you are unaware or have forgotten your zakatable date according to the lunar calendar then apply your honest discretion as to when possibly you became eligible to give zakat. If you are  not able to ascertain that in any way by looking at your bank statements or business progress schedule etc, then choose a lunar date and start dispensing your zakat from that date[1].
