What is the Shafi’i ruling on a child having dolls and stuffed animals? .

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Children’s toys are not considered idols and it is not forbidden to buy and acquire them, and this applies to both boys and girls, as the erudite scholar al-Bujayrami stated in his supercommentary on the Iqna` [of al-Khatib al-Shirbini].
